This page describes how to join the International Committee for Documentation of the International Council of Museums ( ICOM-CIDOC ).
If you are not already a member, CIDOC would welcome your involvement in its work. Membership of CIDOC itself is free, but to be eligible for membership you must join ICOM, which you normally do through the National Committee for your country.
If you are already an ICOM member, you need to advise ICOM that you want to join CIDOC. If you are not an ICOM member, you first need to join ICOM. You can choose to be a voting member of only one International Committe, and if you choose CIDOC you have to notify the ICOM Secretariat of this on the form which you can download from the ICOM Web site.
If you choose to be a voting member of one of the other ICOM International Committees, you can still join CIDOC as a non-voting member; in this case please contact the CIDOC Secretary.
