This page described the 1997 conference of the International Committee for Documentation of the International Council of Museums (ICOM-CIDOC ).
The 1997 Annual Meeting was held at the Germanisches Nationalmuseum (Museum for German Culture) in Nürnberg (Germany), from September 7-11. The organising committee, which includes CIDOC members from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, selected Quality and Documentation as an overall theme for the conference. Papers will concentrated on subjects such as quality assurance through the use of standards (data structure, data exchange formats, thesauri) and quality enhancement through the professionalisation of documentation activities.
