Conferences of the International Committee for Documentation of the International Council of Museums (ICOM-CIDOC)

The International Committee for Documentation of the International Council of Museums (ICOM-CIDOC) organises an annual conference which typically incorporates:

• plenary sessions with papers and reports on documentation initiatives
• Working Group sessions during which members of the Groups pursue their projects
• topical sessions on specific issues
• visits to museums to review their documentation practices

The next CIDOC meeting will take place on 10th - 14th September 2006 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Details will be given on the conference Web site.

Previous conferences have been held in Copenhagen, Quebec City, Ljubljana (Slovenia), Washington, DC., Stavanger and Nairobi. The proceedings of the Washington (1994) and Stavanger (1995) conferences have been published.
